Happy Sunday, everyone. I have so many great subjects coming up very soon, but since my last few posts have been kind of on the "heavy" side, I wanted to focus on something a little "lighter" in this one. That "something" is a local business right in our own backyard.
Located on York Rd in New Oxford is the most wonderful shop EVER. That shop is UNIQUE UPSCALE RESALE.
I stumbled upon this place quite by accident one Saturday afternoon, but once I did, fuhgeddaboudit. You can find anything and everything from tea cups and knick-knacks to quirky socks and decorative wall hangings to candles and uranium glass. You name it, they have it.
I firmly believe in supporting local businesses, and these folks have created a place with hilarious items and a super-welcoming vibe. I love to go in here! I literally walk down all the aisles and laugh out loud the entire time. Most people who know me recognize that my sense of humor is very much on par with that of a 12-year-old boy. I'm good with that. As I was writing this, I thought to myself, what a great place this would be for a casual first date. Maybe go for coffee and then stop here to browse. If you go here with a potential suitor and he doesn't poke you at least 5 times and point and laugh at something, dump his ass faster than someone on Ozempic drops 5 lbs. Political correctness in this country is off the chain. Sometimes it's so good to just laugh at something that is funny simply because it's funny.
They are open 10 am to 5 pm daily. Stop and check them out. If you are looking for a unique gift, this is the place to go. Prices are super reasonable. You HAVE to go!! I GUARANTEE you don't walk out empty-handed.
